Moray Police have seized another vehicle for no insurance in Forres. This adds to a string of recent motoring offences where drivers are either caught over speeding or without insurance and/or MOT. The punishment for driving without insurance is £300 fine minimum up to £5000 fine maximum, as well as a fine you also get 6 penalty points on your licence – the police may also seize your vehicle permanently or destroy it. If your case is taken to court, the maximum fine may be applied and you may be disqualified from driving. The accused driver has been issued a fixed penalty notices for the offence.
