Miracle as 68year Old Nigerian Gives Birth to Twins

Margaret and Noah holding their bundles of joy

A 68-year-old woman and her husband, 70, have welcomed twins in what is almost an impossible science. Margarett and Noah Adenuga, from Nigeria, had been trying for a baby since 1974. After three failed IVF, the couple finally conceived twins 46 years after they got married. Noah said he never gave up on having children after being told he would be ‘known across the world’ in a dream in 1996. The babies were delivered via caesarian section at 37 weeks last Tuesday at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Nigeria.

Domestic Abuse Rise During Lockdown

As the lockdown has enabled families to spend more time together, it has also caused consternation amongst couples as they are forced to stay together for longer than normal. As a result, violence and domestic abuse helpline has reported 22% rise in calls. The Respect phone line also recorded an increase of 125% since the lockdown. Interestingly, it is not only women who are reporting domestic abuse, the Men’s Advice Line, for male victims of domestic abuse, which is run by the charity Respect, have had an increase in calls of 16.6%.

Domestic abuse is a crime, if you are a victim you can get help for both of you, not necessarily put the abusing partner in trouble, so don’t delay in seeking help during the current coronavirus situation. Visit www.nationaldahelpline.org.uk. This brings to question if a bit of distance is necessary to sustain a relationship? Statistics show many couples have fallen out through this lockdown than they would have when work put some distance between them. What do you think?

A Moray beauty star wants something you and I don’t want

A Moray beauty star wants to dye her hair once the lockdown is over. Odd right? I thought so too, but dyeing her hair is Anastasia’s priority once the government lifts the lockdown. While many people want more exciting stuff like eating Macdonalds or ordering their favourite take away meal, Anastasia has engaged atleast 30 of her friends many of whom have also expressed their desire to dye their hair once the government lifts the ban. Anastasia said with mixed emotions that she’s missed sunshine and also shared her secret desire to be quarantined with Chris Evans. Stories like Anastasia’s is sometimes what we all need to giggle away in this difficult times. ???

Can sex with your wife while she is sleeping amount to rape

It’s as controversial as it can get but the law is clear, sex with someone who is sleeping is rape. This include between married couples, really? Well I mean, Rape is a serious crime and sex is all about consent, but while it’s not unthinkable that a spouse or partner will not give consent, to call it rape within the four walls of marriage makes it as serious as forcing yourself on a total stranger. Surely a man should be able to “do it” while his wife is sleeping, it’s called the privileges of marriage, it is fun, it is spontaneous, and it is interesting…haha, so because the wife was not aware prior to the act or did not give consent ordinarily shouldn’t amount to rape, common! The truth remains that sex is all about consent, and whether it happens between total strangers, friends, colleagues or between married couples which lacks consent, then the police will throw the full weight of the law at you. Is that fair? What do you think? Leave your comment below.

18-carat solid gold toilet stolen

Wonder why anyone would want to steal a toilet, the riddle is quickly resolved when you realise it’s an 18-carat solid gold toilet valued at £4.8m from Blenheim Palace. So much for the gap between the rich and the poor closing when the poor can’t even afford to wear gold and the rich have had so much of it that they now discharge their faeces in one.

Men benefit more from a thriving romance

Men get greater emotional benefits from the positive aspect of ongoing romance

It has long been said that it’s a man’s world and there’s nothing a woman or anyone for that matter can do about it. Perhaps not far from the truth, certainly the case in the realms of romance. Women put in a lot of hard work in making a relationship work, men tend to do their fair share too, maybe not always, but the theory goes that women like romance more; flowers, breakfast in bed, leave-in poetic notes etc, and that for men, sex is simply the height of romance, so much so because they need that to be happy and satisfied in their relationship, but it is not always the case. Typically, men like to take charge and be in control, women often take this stance as men being unromantic, but when a woman figure out what exactly revs their man’s engine, the sky is the limit, and even though most men don’t have the same ideas about romance as women do, they usually are the ones who get more from a good romance, but not at the expense of women, there is always enough benefit to go round, and yes it might be a man’s world, but it’s nothing without a woman in it.

Study finds men suffer more from a broken relationship than women

Courtesy:Lisa Merlo-Booth

Contrary to popular belief that women are the ones on the receiving end of a chaotic relationship, a study has found that it is men who suffer the most. It is often normal for men to put on a brave face to patch up their ego, pretend the blow didn’t hit below the belt, they might even carry on watching the football match, go out for drinks with friends, but all that act is more likely to have a greater impact on their mental wellbeing. On the other hand, women will display their emotions in the open, cry on every shoulder they find, send bombastic messages, they will amplify their depression, express their low mood, loose their appetite, hide under the duvet cover, but the one thing they will not do is hide their feelings, that way, unlike their male counterpart, they are not storing up negative emotions. Professor Robin Simon who led the study says the result turns the narrative that women are more vulnerable to the emotional stress of relationship breakdowns. Do you know spanking a child is now a crime In Scotland

Scottish Parliament has taken a stance against physical discipline, is it helpful though?
Spanking instils discipline in children, Scotland now wants a different and untested approach.

Spanking or applying physical discipline to a child is now a disciplinary mechanism taken away from parents and guardians, the Scottish Parliament voted 84 to 29 in favour of the move. Many parents fear this may allow children go rogue if that right to I still discipline via moderate scolding is taken away from them. What other approach can be taken in behavioural management in children; starve them, deprive them, other barbaric methods? Clearly not, what do you think, did the Scottish Parliament get this right?
