A gull spotted with arrow in the head looking undaunted in Elgin’s Cooper Park. The wounded bird was spotted in Elgin’s Cooper Park yesterday. Gulls are known to be sometimes aggressive in the area and have proven history of violent attack on children, but they are one of the many protected birds, meaning no one is allowed to hurt them even though they hurt people. The SPCA has warned people to reconsider their attacks on birds as they could be prosecuted. Whoever did this to this gull must really be enraged. But if they attack you or your child, can you claim self defence? A penny for your thought!
