Hopeman man jailed for raping a child

According to the P&J, a man from Hopeman who preyed on a child has been sentenced to eight years. Paul Moffat who lives in Hopeman was found guilty of sexual abuse and rape in April. The 30 year old man was sentenced yesterday 27 April in the High Court, Glasgow. Handing him his sentence, the judge said Moffat submitted the ”an innocent wee girl” to such an experience. Let’s hope this deters other people from committing such crime.

£2000 was raised for a children’s charity

A young girl has been commended by a Member of The Scottish Parliament, Richard Lochhead. Lucy Stewart was commended for raising £2000 for a local children’s charity. Lucy who is fighting her own illness, a tracheoesophageal fistula; an abnormal condition with the esophagus and the trachea and oesophageal atresia, a situation where the upper part of the esophagus does not connect with the lower esophagus and stomach. The money will be donated to the Archie Foundation with the hope to improve life for young patients at the Royal Aberdeen Children’shHospit!al and their families. We wish her a speedy recovery.

As the Press and Journal reports it, the Lossiemouth Town Hall hosted a 100 pensioners at an event to cheer up the senior citizens inorder to help them overcome isolation. The idea behind the gathering was to keep old people active, healthy and happy. Thumps up to the organisers for the wonderful gesture.

In 2006, Her Majesty celebrated her 80th Birthday with a walkabout in the streets outside of Windsor Castle to meet well-wishers. Did you know that the removal of condom during sex without consent is called “Stealthing” and carries a rape conviction?

For the odd chances that some may not know what condom is, it helps prevent unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted disease
Removing condom during sex under the Sexual Offences Act is a crime

This concerns men who commits “stealthing”, otherwise known as the act of removing condom without consent during sex. What is however not clear is whether women can be guilty of this offence. If a man removes the condom without the woman’s consent, he can be found guilty of rape if proven in court. However, if a woman removes the condom on the man with the odd chance that he’s not aware it’s been removed, or the woman removes her femidom or internal condom, can she also be guilty of rape? What do you think guys?

According to the Columbia Journal of Gender and Law, a woman who contributed anonymously to a research said she had been seeing a man for a couple of weeks and refused to have sex with him without a condom, calling it “non-negotiable.”

“We were hooking up and halfways through he took his condom off. Obviously I was very upset.” She said the man told her: “Don’t worry about it, trust me.”

Paedophile Adam Johnson has been caught boasting that he has bedded two famous TV stars in his latest prison video shame.

The shameless former Sunderland and Man City winger, 29, named two well-known celebrities he had “banged” during a chat with fellow inmates.

Johnson is serving six years at Moorland jail in Doncaster for grooming and sexual abusing a 15-year-old girl.

The disgraced ex-footballer has shown little remorse for his crimes but frequently tried to portray himself as the victim since his career fell apart.
