Packed full of those who wants to thwart Brexit, the House of Commons has held the country hostage for years now. Regardless of which side of the debate you belong; whether you hate the idea of Britain leaving the EU or you embrace the notion of Britain operating independently outside the EU, surely you must restrain your feelings against the rule of law, the rule that an election result has to be enforced. All the Parties in Westminster perhaps with the exception of the Scottish National Party (SNP) stood on a manifesto in 2017 general election that they would honour the result of the referendum, with the exception of the Conservative party, all have to honour that pledge. Since when does the UK, a front runner in democracy become a mediocre, where the new normal is to turn against the will of the people. Labour, Liberal Democrat, Green, Plaid Cymru, all now what no Brexit. Again, surely, if we still want to be regarded as a democratic society, we must respect the rules of democracy, it’s winner takes it all. And all the MPs who have put party over country including a few in the Conservative party should and must now pay the price in the next election. It’s been a disgrace watching opposition politicians playing politics with the people’s mandate. The electorate must now use their rarely given power to send a strong message in the next general election, no to the traitors of democracy.
