The Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell has committed to slashing the UK’s weekly working hours from 40-hours to 32-hours which will see it overtake France’s 35-hour week policy. There’s more and wait for it; you will not get a pay cut for working less hours. The Labour Party wants to change the perception that the UK workforce works too many hours, and reverse the idea that you are living to work rather than working to live.
