The head monarch of the Commonwealth countries

The Queen usually celebrates her birthday twice a year, the first being on her actual birthday on April 21 and the other usually the second Saturday in June. She spends the actual birthday privately and the ceremonial one is marked publicly by gun salutes in central London at midday: a 41 gun salute in Hyde Park, a 21 gun salute in Windsor Great Park and a 62 gun salute at the Tower of London. In 2006, Her Majesty celebrated her 80th Birthday with a walkabout in the streets outside of Windsor Castle to meet well-wishers. If you missed the actual birthday, make the best of the other in June 2017!
