Adam Johnson was convicted for sexually grooming a 15 year old girl in March 2016, the ex-footballer had hoped to have his six year jail sentence reduced. The sexual activity which happened in the footballers Rangerover car was widely critised last year. The three judges which heard the appeal rejected it because he had many opportunities to plead guilty but instead caused “psychological harm” to his victim
