See woman who beats her husband since they got married

According to the Telegraph, a battered husband installed a hidden camera in his home to film his wife attacking him as he feared police wouldn’t believe him, a court has heard.

Neil Tweedy, 45, had endured violence from wife Helen since 2005, including an assault on their wedding night in 2008 where she kicked, punched and smothered him with a duvet, before making him sleep on the sofa.

Mr Tweedy eventually reported the crimes after Mrs Tweedy continued the abuse after the birth of their daughter, now four.

The victim secretly recorded the assaults at the couple’s £200,000 semi-detached home in Greater Manchester because he was afraid that police would not believe him without evidence. Over a two-month period three incidents of Mrs Tweedy slapping her husband over the head and swearing at him were caught on camera. Who says what a man can do, a woman can’t do better eh!

Brexit: A battle of the Titans

A no-deal will have adverse effect on the people from both sides

The quagmire created by the result of the UK referendum about its membership of the EU has become too much of a hard nut to chew. The EU body language confirms the fears of the British people that the elite union will aim to stalk, be punitive in approach and be vindictive in temperament. The EU feels a sense of betrayal for the UK having the guts to walk away nevertheless that the decision to leave was not an executive action of the British government but a democratic exercise taken by its people. The EU as a democratic institution needs to understand that the British people have a right to self determination.

As nrgotiations gets underway, both the EU and UK are not only flexing their muscles but they are making sure we see them doing so, on the wide range of issues they still have to reach an agreement, such as the so called divorce bill, the Irish border, the EU citizens rights in the UK vis-a-vis the rights of UK citizens in the EU to mention a few. Both parties have an enormous task to come to an agreeable arrangement albeit the terrain is unprecedented and the stakes are high, infact this negotiation might lived up to be the mother of all negotiations both parties would ever be conducting. The EU tough stance is also unprecedented, understandably so, the bloc must realise that no amount of tough stance will stop the UK from leaving its membership and therefore negotiate in a way that would not try to frustrate the deal that both sides need. A no-deal situation will hurt both sides very badly, perhaps hurt one more than the other, but it doesn’t matter who hurts less or more, it’s the people, the very same people both sides aim to get a deal for that will suffer any stalemate. The tough stances of the EU such as the EU citizens rights, the Irish border and the divorce bill would still elude the EU if they continue to play hard ball, would the EU rather have all its citizens deported in the event of a no deal or would it rather have the UK put up a hard border on the Irish border or would it have the other member states settle the UK financial commitments. On the other hand, would the UK rather have its economy hit so bad or its citizens in Europe deported, the price to pay for a deal is far less the consequences of a non deal. Laws are made for people, the people are not made for laws, therefore the EU must be willing to soften its stance of the negotiating guidelines and demands, after all it’s a negotiation. It is absurd to still expect the UK to be subject to the European Courts after it has left, likewise it is untenable for the UK not to settle its financial commitments, both parties must be pragmatically flexible and imaginatively realistic.

Michael Barnier, the EU negotiator have echoed the minds of the other 27 member states, they want to teach the UK a lesson so that any other member who decides to walk away will be deterred. One has to sympathise with the EU after all, there would be no EU without its members, however the EU should not hold the UK to ransom on the basis of this, the only solution is to reform the EU if it doesn’t want any more of it’s members to walk away. What must be paramount is the welfare and wellbeing of the European citizens currently in UK and who would be in the future, and also the businesses all over Europe that trades with the UK, any contingency plan to punish the UK whether in the short or long term must be abandoned as this would only amount to an act of self harm. Both sides would be left seriously battered if they decide to throw away the baby with the bath water. The negotiations are already going into a territory of heightened hostility and the battle is far from over, it is imperative for the EU and the UK to do right by its people and secure a deal that benefits the EU and the UK, anything short of this would be a gargantuan mistake.

The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs have projected Nigeria to be the world’s third most populous country by the year 2049, according to a report released

The report, titled ‘World Population Prospects: The 2017 Revision’, said with such development, Nigeria who is currently the world’s 7th most populous Nation would overtake the United States.

With a population which currently stands at over 180 million, Nigeria is not only the most populous Nation in Africa, she’s also the giant of Africa. The report said “by 2050, the third most populous country will be Nigeria and which is certainly poised to replace the United States.

Nigeria is also among 10 largest countries of the world. “Consequently, the population of Nigeria is projected to surpass that of the United States shortly before 2050, at which point it would become the third largest country in the world” says the report

North Korea: is the United Nations obsolete?

The UN was created in October 1945 after the Second World War to replace the obsolete League of Nations, is the UN also getting obsolete
Created to prevent a Third World War, with North Korea’s erratic behaviour recently, will the UN achieve its aim?

The UN was established to promote international cooperation and international order, but its members barely cooperate amongst themselves. Members can at will veto any resolution by the organisation when they deem fit it’s not in their interest. One of such examples is the case of Syria, where Russia has done everything possible to frustrate efforts of the international community. North Korea is perhaps the only Country that has made the UN Security Council to seat more than often than they want to, with emergency meetings every time the country carries out its nuclear test, the country has forced such meetings too many times that the UN’s emergency netting has become so ordinary. To be fair on the UN as an intergovernmental organisation, it has succeeded and indeed still succeeding in other aims it has set for it self such as fostering social and economic development, protecting the environment, and providing humanitarian aid in cases of famine, natural disaster, and armed conflict etc. But has it succeeded in maintaining international peace and security which is chief amongst its objectives, only time would now tell.

North Korea and the Nuclear Armageddon

State media released a photo of Kim Jong Un at the Nuclear Weapons institute. Reuters

The recent launch of a ballistic missile is yet another confirmation that the North Korean administration does not care about peace and stability of the world or any part of the world for that matter, a rhetoric that has been echoed by western leaders. The reality on ground is that President Trump can talk as long as he likes, tweet his locked and loaded threat, Kim Jong Un sees through his bluff, it’s too much a risk to take, not for fear of loosing a nuclear war but for the price of winnning it. No doubt the United States have the most powerful and perhaps well equipped army in the world, but they would not escape being ruffled if Trump decides to confront Mr Kim head-on. North Korea could inflict a serious destruction on the world. It could seriously hurt the United States by attacking it directly or attack its allies such as Guam, Japan or South Korea.    Unfortunately Russia and China who could possibly put an end to Mr Kim’s Nuclear obsession have their own agenda they’d like to pursue; end the American Supremacy. President Trump’s weakness will continue to get clearer the more Russia and China continue to fold their arms as both sides are urging the United States to stand down, they have struggled to get recognition from the United States and frustrating America’a effort to shut the North Korean nuclear agenda is a way of telling America that “we want recognition too”. The United States is barely holding on to the status of the most powerful country in the world, a position Russia and China will quickly move to fill should America falls off the cliff edge. Having frustrated America in Syria, the Russians are also doing the same with North Korea by asking the Americans to move away their military base from the Peninsula and stop the joint military exercise with Souh Korea. Both countries understands that helping the united states to solve the quagmire would only make the US stronger. It is an unprecedented catastrophe in waiting, Trump may continue doing the talking, Russia and China can continue playing the spoiler, and the United Nations can continue issueing toothless resolution, North Korea will continue firing the ballistic test until they are ready to start what may well be the beggining of the end, at the moment, they are winning.
