You may get away for displaying public affection (DPA) in the Uk, but you won’t be so lucky if you do so in Indonesia. Apparently DPAs violates the regions Sharia law.
Whipping is a common punishment for a range of offences in the region, including pre-marital sex, gambling, drinking alcohol and gay.
